“John answered, and said, ‘A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. Ye your selves are my witnesses, that I said, I am not that Christ, but that I am sent before him. He that hath the bride, is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly, because of the bridegrooms voice. This my joy therefore is fulfilled'” (John 3:27-29 [1587 Geneva Version]).
Father, You compare Christ and His church to the bride and groom. Please help us to remember daily that Your Son is the saving grace for our eternity in heaven. In His name we ask. Thank You~
