My family and I struggled with the first year of celebrations, special days, and birthdays. Our granddaughters, daughter and my husband and I thought carefully of how to move through that year without our son, brother, and uncle. The loss of Joshua hit us hard, to say the least, but we were determined to work […]

“The woman said unto him, ‘Sir, give me of that water, that I may not thirst, neither come hither to draw’. Jesus said unto her, ‘Go, call thine husband, and come hither’” (John 4:15, 16 [1587 Geneva Versio).  Father, please help us to help others to understand that Christ is the water of life. In […]

“The day following, Jesus would go into Galilee, and found Philip, and said vnto him, ‘Follow me’. Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter” (John 1:43, 44 [1587 Geneva Version]).  Father, have we followed Christ? Help us to examine our own hearts daily and to confess sins and ask for forgiveness. In […]

He which testifieth these things, says, ‘Surely, I come quickly. Amen.’ Euen so, come Lord Jesus” (Rev. 22:20 [1587 Geneva Version]).  Father, we do not doubt that Christ will come in a cloud for the day of judgment. “Then the Angel saide vnto me, ‘Wherefore [why]marueilest [marvels] thou? I will shewe thee the misterie [mystery] of that woman, and of that beast, that beareth her, which hath seuen heads, and tenne [ten]hornes [horns]‘” (Rev. 17:7 [1587 Geneva Version]).  Father, this mystery will be shown to us also as we pray for clarity. In Christ’s holy name we pray. […]
