Thursday Verse~Puffed Up

“And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another” (1 Corinthians 4:6 KJV)

“Nowe these things, brethren, I haue figuratiuely applied vnto mine owne selfe and Apollos, for your sakes, that ye might learne by vs, that no man presume aboue that which is written, that one swell not against another for any mans cause” (1560 Geneva Bible). 

Father, thank You for giving us access to the 1560 Geneva Bible to help us understand verses better. Please help us to not think of ourselves or strive to be better than another. Give us humble hearts. Through Christ’s holy name we ask. We are blessed~
