Friday Verses ~ Teacher of Israel

“Nicodemus answered, and said unto him, ‘How can these things be’? Jesus answered, & said unto him, ‘Art thou a teacher of Israel, and knowest not these things'” (John 3:9, 10 [1587 Geneva Version])? 

Father God, Your Old Testament tells of the coming of Your Son. Why was it the teachers of Israel did not know of him? Did they chose to look the other way? Please, Father, help us to understand Your perfect Word and with Your  help follow Christ. In His holy name we ask. Thank You~
