Friday Verses

“And it happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples.  And he said to them, ‘Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they said, ‘No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit'” (Acts 19:1, 2 ESV). 

Father, I too did not know of the Holy Spirit when I was baptized. I’m grateful that a kind Believer asked me the question as Paul had. After she prayed over me, I sensed a powerful spiritual within me and my life bloomed with Your Holy Spirit. He comforts me daily. He goes with me into spiritual battles. He warns me when I’m tempted to sin. Then it is up to me to choose not to sin. Thank You, Lord, for sending Believers to show us Your perfect will. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen
