Covered Mercies: The Year of Firsts

My family and I struggled with the first year of celebrations, special days, and birthdays. Our granddaughters, daughter and my husband and I thought carefully of how to move through that year without our son, brother, and uncle. The loss of Joshua hit us hard, to say the least, but we were determined to work hard at respecting each of our hurt.

It was not easy, yet we did it with God’s blessed mercies.

Years later, I wrote Covered Mercies not only to celebrate Joshua’s life but to give a guide to others who are experiencing the year of firsts without a loved one.
