Wednesday Verses

“For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple. Then all the city was stirred up, and the people ran together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates were shut” (Acts 21:29, 30 ESV). 

Father, oh Father, the evil of some! Paul was doing what You called him to do. Did he quit? Did he continue to hope in You? What will we do when we are persecuted because we follow after You? Even simple words can crush us sometimes for we are weak. Strengthen our spirit, Father. In Jesus’ holy name, we ask. Amen
