Wednesday Verses

“When we [Paul & Luke, his physician] had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left we sailed to Syria and landed at Tyre, for there the ship was to unload its cargo. And having sought out the disciples, we stayed there for seven days. And through the Spirit they were telling Paul not to go on to Jerusalem” (Acts 21:3, 4 ESV). 

Father, You gifted us the Holy Spirit to guide us on personal decisions, to encourage us, and to tap us on the shoulder when we are tempted by sin. Please help us to remember so as not to squelch the Holy Spirit or to misunderstand the Holy Spirit’s purpose. We need daily discernment. In Jesus’ holy name, we ask. Amen
