Tuesday Verses ~ Depth of the Sea

“Of the Jews five times did I [Paul] receive forty stripes [whippings] save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods: once I was stoned: thrice I suffered shipwreck: a night and a day I was in the depth of the sea” (2 Corinthians 11:24, 25 1587 Geneva Version).

Father, when You called on Paul as Your Disciple, You said he would suffer for You. How do we suffer? As Disciples, will we willing suffer for Your sake? Please help us to not shy from sorrows, tragedies, and Your work You have for each of us. Through Christ’s holy name we ask. Hallelujah~
