Tuesday Verses

“But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said [to Jesus], ‘Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?’ He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the money bag he used to help himself to what was put into it” (John 12:4-6 English Standard Version).

We understand Judas Iscariot was a bad man. But, Lord, have we not at times also stolen from You? Have we not kept back our hearts what You have so generously offer to us? Life eternal? Please, Father, keep stirring our spirits to follow hard after You and Your dear Son. In Jesus’ holy name,we ask. Amen
