Recently, I was inspired to bake a loaf of bread in my small wood stove. I thought it would be a bust because I’ve never baked in a wood stove before. Not so. The photos below show the baking and the results. I could have baked it 35 minutes. I baked the loaf 40 minutes, and the bottom was too dark. Otherwise, it was easy and a deliciously satisfying experience.

I used my small cast iron pot and a cast iron corn bread pan for a lid.
The final product. Next time, I will not slice the top so deep. This bread had no gooey middle as I thought it would.
