Just Claire is being read not only by young people but adults as well.
My readers are asking, “Is there a sequel?”
Yes, there is. I’m currently working on BEING CLAIRE.
Also, I’ve been doing major edits on an upcoming nonfiction release, God’s Mercies after Suicide: Blessings Woven through a Mother’s Heart.
What I’ve learned as a writer is to edit your work beyond what you think it needs.
When you’ve edited until you’re tired of it, edit again until your head is spinning and your eyes are swelling from staring at pages. Edit until you’re exhausted and, just maybe, your work will be error free. It may even shine!
Another book I’m excited about and is also in the editing stages is a YA novella, ROAD TRIP OF DELUSION, and I’m aiming for a spring 2016 release.
After choosing my illustrator, Carley Rose Herlihy, age eighteen, this young lady is working on drafts of the book cover for ROAD TRIP OF DELUSION.
What do you think of Carley’s first attempt in the above draft? She has some great starter ideas. She did say the illustration is “too Disney” and so we’ll see what else she creates. Carley did tell me she’s went back to the drawing board and wants to create a book cover which hints at the story. Hmmm, I can hardly wait!
Lastly, I’m excited about this new Website Real Stories for Real Girls. There are a few more kinks to work out, but it’s coming along nicely and fits the theme and type of children and YA books I’ve planned for the future.
Until next time . . . read, read, read, wholesome books.
